DESCRIPTION:The SCMUA Solid Waste/Recycling Facility\, 34 South Route 94\, Lafayette is offering Free Electronics Recycling on Saturday\, March 27th\, May 22nd\, July 24th and October 23rd from 7am to 2pm.   There is a limit of five (5) units per vehicle. Additional items will incur scale charges for extra quantities.  Examples include: Computers\, Printers\, cell phones\, televisions\, VCR’s\, DVDs and CDs\, fax machines and copiers\, radios and stereos\, etc. (NO appliances).  Residents and businesses are responsible for prior removal of data from hard drives and other storage media. \n** Landfill disposal ban on certain electronics. DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to join us on Saturday\, September 11th at 10:00am at Musconetcong Park in Stanhope for a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony for those we lost and to honor the strength and courage of First Responders and Survivors.  \nAbout the Ceremony:  \n\nCommemoration of the day all of our lives were forever changed\, September 11\, 2001.\nHonor the bravery of the thousands of First Responders.\nStand as a living reminder of resilience\, survival and rebirth through community strength.\nDedication of seedling from Survivor Tree.\n\nAbout the Tree: \nIn October 2001\, a severely damaged tree was discovered at Ground Zero\, with snapped roots and burned and broken branches. The tree was removed from the rubble and placed in the care of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. After its recovery and rehabilitation\, the tree was returned to the Memorial in 2010. New\, smooth limbs extended from the gnarled stumps\, creating a visible demarcation between the tree’s past and present. Today\, the tree stands as a living reminder of resilience\, survival\, and rebirth. Each year\, the 9/11 Memorial gives seedlings from the Survivor Tree to three communities that have endured tragedy.
