DESCRIPTION:Our Seniors meet on the 4th Thursday of every month\, 11am\, at the American Legion Musconetcong Post 278 located at 119 Route 183 in Stanhope. (November’s meeting will be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The club does not meet in December or August.) Arrive at 11am for a social hour. The meeting begins at 12pm. \nDues are $15 per year. Members are 55 years of age or older. A great way to meet new friends in a social setting! Coffee and cake is always served. Many activities are scheduled throughout the year.

DESCRIPTION:Our Seniors meet on the 4th Thursday of every month\, 11am\, at the American Legion Musconetcong Post 278 located at 119 Route 183 in Stanhope. (November’s meeting will be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The club does not meet in December or August.) Arrive at 11am for a social hour. The meeting begins at 12pm. \nDues are $15 per year. Members are 55 years of age or older. A great way to meet new friends in a social setting! Coffee and cake is always served. Many activities are scheduled throughout the year.

DESCRIPTION:Young ladies 17 to 21 years of age as of August 1\, 2017\, who are single and bona-fide residents of the Borough of Stanhope are eligible to apply for the Miss Stanhope Scholarship Program.  The criterion to select the scholarship winner includes poise\, overall presence\, accomplishments and communication skills.  Miss Stanhope will receive a crown\, a sash and a cash scholarship to use at the school of her choice.  The Miss Stanhope Scholarship Program applications are due no later than June 14th. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar and save the date!  The Townwide Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday\, June 10th. This event is sponsored by the Stanhope Chamber of Commerce.   The maps can be picked up on Saturday morning at Ted’s Deli on Route 183\, Netcong Hardware on Route 183\, Deli Delicious on Main Street and the Express Mart located at the corner of Brooklyn Road and Sparta Road. \nAfter the garage sale any items which did not sell can be be donated to the Stanhope-Netcong American Legion Ambulance Corps on Sunday\, June 11th.  Items can be dropped off at the Ambulance Squad Building located at 22 Linden Avenue in Stanhope between the hours of 1:00pm and 5:00pm.  (Please use the front entrance of the squad building on Linden Avenue.)  This is a fundraiser which will help with the purchase of equipment and supplies so that the Ambulance Squad can continue to offer free emergency medical service to the residents.  The squad will be compensated on a “per pound” basis for all the collected items.  This will help you get rid of unwanted items\, the items will be kept out of the landfill\, they will be recycled or they will be given to someone less fortunate.  Thank you for your support.  Please Click Here for the List of Items We Can Accept.
