DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to impending weather. The raffle drawing will be held at 4pm at Lakeside Park as scheduled. \n  \nJoin the Stanhope\, Netcong\, Byram & Roxbury Volunteer Firemen at the 2nd Annual Lake Musconetcong Challenge!  The event will be held on Sunday\, August 19th\, from 12-4pm.  These neighboring Hose Companies will compete against one another side by side propelling barrels across the lake in a timed and measured course using fire hoses.  The winning company will be presented with the Fireman’s Challenge Trophy and they will have bragging rights until next year! \nThere is a Firemen’s Challenge 50/50 Raffle available.  First Prize: 25% of Ticket Sales; Second Prize: 15% of Ticket Sales; Third Prize: 10% of Ticket Sales.  Winner need not be present to win.  The cost is $10 per ticket.  The proceeds will benefit the Lake Musconetcong Regional Planning Board Lake Revitalization Program and participating Volunteer Fire Departments.  (Make checks payable to Stanhope Hose Company #1.)  The winning ticket will be drawn at 4pm at Lakeside Park\, Stanhope (next to the Enrite Station on Route 183).  Tickets can be purchased at the event or prior to the event at Netcong Borough Hall\, 23 Maple Avenue\, Netcong or Stanhope Borough Hall\, 77 Main Street\, Stanhope. \nClick Here to View/Print Firemen’s Challenge Flyer

DESCRIPTION:The Board of Health\, in conjunction with the Sussex County Health Department\, provides an array of health promotion and disease prevention programs such as cancer screenings\, blood pressure testing\, and flu & pneumonia vaccinations. \nEnvironmental health services include inspection of restaurants and retail food vendors\, inspection of public bathing facilities\, free rabies immunization clinic\, mosquito control and radon kits at a reasonable price. \nAnimal control services are provided for stray dogs and cats\, and other animal related concerns. \nThe Board of Health meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM at the Stanhope Municipal Building at 77 Main Street. (Meetings are not scheduled for the months of July and August.)

DESCRIPTION:Our Seniors meet on the 4th Thursday of every month\, 11am\, at the American Legion Musconetcong Post 278 located at 119 Route 183 in Stanhope. (November’s meeting will be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The club does not meet in December or August.) Arrive at 11am for a social hour. The meeting begins at 12pm. \nDues are $15 per year. Members are 55 years of age or older. A great way to meet new friends in a social setting! Coffee and cake is always served. Many activities are scheduled throughout the year.
