Memorial Day commemorates our brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for us so that we are able to live in freedom. We are thankful for them and also for the families of these soldiers for their sacrifices. We honor these brave airmen, soldiers, sailors, marines and coast guard with recognition, respect, and gratitude. There is no way we can repay the debt these heroes paid for us, but we can, and must, honor their sacrifice and their love of this country. Free people, free society.So while you are enjoying your rest from work, a day at the beach, lake or a BBQ, take a minute to look up to the sky and say thank you. May God bless the souls of the men and women we have lost and may God bless this great country and the residents of the Borough of Stanhope. Be smart, be safe.
