How to Obtain a Construction Permit
Permit Application Packets are available at Borough Hall.
Applications can also be downloaded from the State website: https://www.state.nj.us/dca/divisions/codes/resources/constructionpermitforms.html
If you are planning to do any type of work on your home or business, please contact the Construction Department to determine if permits are required. This includes, but is not limited to, any work consisting of building, plumbing, electric or fire protection. You must plan ahead in order to have all the approvals in place BEFORE you begin work. Construction cannot begin until the permits have been issued. If you encounter an emergency situation you must still obtain permission from the Construction Official.
