All dogs/cats (7 months or older) kept within Stanhope are required to be licensed. No more than 4 dogs and/or 4 cats per residence are permitted in the Borough. Licenses must be purchased between January 1st through April 30th. If you do not renew your license by April 30th, there will be a $5.00 per month, per animal fine imposed beginning May 1st. Licenses require Proof of Rabies Vaccination and the vaccine must be effective until the last day of October 2017 or longer. The Free Rabies Clinic is scheduled for April 7, 2017 (6PM – 8PM at the Stanhope Fire House). You can license your pets in person at Borough Hall (77 Main Street) or by mail.
