Miss Stanhope & Royal Court Contest

The Stanhope Recreation Committee is sponsoring the “Miss Stanhope” Contest along with her Royal Court Contest on Thursday, June 19th. This event will take place at the Lenape Valley Regional High School Auditorium from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. The “Miss Stanhope” Contest is open to all young women from age 17 to 21. The winner will receive a $500.00 award and the opportunity to represent Stanhope Borough at the annual Queen of the Fair Contest which will be held at the Sussex County Fair this summer. In addition to the “Miss Stanhope” Contest, there will also be a “Royal Court” Contest. There are four categories in the “Royal Court” Contest. The “Little Mister Stanhope” is for boys ages 5-7. The “Little Miss Stanhope” is for girls ages 5-7. The “Young Miss Stanhope” is for girls ages 8-12 and the “Teen Miss Stanhope” is for girls ages 13-16. All applications must be submitted by June 1st to the Stanhope Municipal Building, 77 Main Street. The applications can be mailed, dropped off during office hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, or they can be placed in the 24-hour drop box located on the front door of the municipal building. Please mark the envelope: “Miss Stanhope Contest”
(This event is being co-sponsored by Stanhope Borough Recreation and Byram Township Recreation. Both towns will be holding their contests together on June 19th at the high school.)
