The Environmental Commission actively protects our natural resources, promotes Open Space, and offers educational programs to our residents. Every year the Environmental Commission co-sponsors a Community Clean-Up Day together with the NJ Clean Communities Program. The Environmental Commission meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30PM at the Stanhope Municipal Building. 
Garbage collection will begin at 5:00AM weekly Thursday mornings. Garbage cans must be placed curbside the night before or prior to 5:00AM. The Borough contracts with Blue Diamond Disposal for weekly garbage and bulk item collection. Questions concerning your garbage collection should be directed to 973-347-0159 x-15.
